First Company to Achieve MedAccred Accreditation for Plastics Mechanical Assembly

23 October 2019 The MedAccred program recently completed the new Plastics Mechanical Assembly audit criteria and subsequently granted the first global MedAccred Accreditation to PTA Plastics in Longmont, Colorado for Plastics Mechanical Assembly.  PTA Plastics received accreditation for the following Plastics Mechanical Assembly sub-processes:
  • Plastics Welding
  • Adhesion/Bonding
  • Mechanical Fastening
  • Heat Staking
  • Heat Staking Insert / Thermal Insert
The MedAccred team that developed the Plastics Mechanical Assembly audit criteria and audit process is being led by Sasha Brishkovski, Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, Johnson & Johnson.  Other leading companies actively involved in the development process were Stryker, Philips, BD, and Boston Scientific.
